hmmm for some strange reason--i dont think it is the smoking thing that might keep people away from nj
Roadmedic Thanks this. -
A few years back, Solana Beach, CA banned smoking in your own home, as well as smoking ouside within the city limits.
Now THAT'S going too far. -
I pay my NON SMOKER drivers $0.015 / mile more .
KE5WDP Thanks this. -
seriously????
actually it is a good idea--its not a lot--but it would add up to pay for detailing the truck if they leave
now if i promise not to crap in the truck--will that be worth more? -
I was just assigned a truck which was previously occupied by a heavy smoker. It took a professional detailer with special equipment and about 12 hours to get rid of the poisonous stench. I watched as the nicotine dripped off the surfaces lime pancake syrup. Nasty people with their filthy habits.

Depending on How much would an ARM or a LEG be worth to you
Never had that problem , and the little extra $ seems to be appreciated by most , 1 said " HECK does not pay for my SMOKES " -
even tho i smole--alot--i can see how non smokers can be disgusted by the inside of a truck that was smoked in------and i am pretty much of a like it clean and spotless person
but by the same token--i have seen many trucks driven by non smokers that woud cause a person to heave cause they were so nasty
just depends on the personRollover the Original Thanks this. -
Worst truck I ever saw was a Fairly new ( at the time ) FREIGHTLINER FLD 120 CONDO.
It looked like a pack of RACOONS had lived in it , yet the driver did not smoke and was SPOTLESS in grooming , clothing , appearance. Was told his house was the same way, utter pigpen. -
I respect other peoples air. I won't smoke in someone else's vehicle or house without permission. But there's no law to keep me from popping out the skoal and putting a dip in. I remember when the smoking ban went through here and a local bar would not separate it's restaurant from the bar (can be smoking in a bar if less than 20% of the receipts are from food). So I popped in a dip and used a clear pop bottle as a spitoon. Disgusting? Yes. Illegal? Maybe. Funny? Hell yeah. If you think a vehicle a smoker used can stink, wait till you get one where a forgotten chew spit bottle under the seat fermented for a few months then exploded on a hot summer day. Yum.
