"We can't afford a newborn" So I killed it

well simplyred, since you gave a byline to the link, i simply could not read this story. my heart aches for the baby, and its sibling (which when i scanned through this thread, another poster said there was another child)..

i have never understood the things some parents do to their children. its beyond my comprehension.

i can only hope justice is swift AND severe. tax dollars to keep these two locked up would be a waste, over the death penalty which i have been a long proponent of.

may the baby RIP.....i have nothing else to say, as this is deeply disturbing.

 

Why people don't use birth control who don't want/can't afford kids is beyond me!

If you are going to have sex with someone at least know ALL the consequences including STDs and pregnancy! There are enough places to get free or inexpensive contraception. Either that or keep it in your pants or panties! It angers me so much to see children ''popped'' out like they are some prize you win or some 'status symbol' but when you tire of that responsibilty ther poor kids never have a chance at a decent life.

They could have taken the baby to the hospital and dropped the baby off..........

May those two get every thing they deserve that is horrible and painful.

 

Dont want your kid? can't afford it? think cinder block is the only option? dont have a computer? go to a local library google/bing, look in the phone book for safe havens, plenty of hospitals offer safe havens no question ask, plenty of agencies provide services again no question ask, fire station, even police station can't say the cops wont ask questions, but I can sure you they will make sure the child has a safe place to go..

I'm sure ANY neighbor, who answered their door to find an infant in a basket, would do the right thing. There are so many other choices.
