there is VERY little CO2 in diesels. these aren't gas motors, if they were we would all die the first night parked in a truck stop with 500 idling trucks

Not true... there's enough to kill you. Not much at idle but i certainly wouldn't stick my nose in the exhaust pipe...

if you're so worried about weight why don't you go buy a freightliner before you kill that peterbilt. 379 without stacks is like a tranny.. may look like a chick but it's just not right

My '96 FLD weighed almost a grand more than my 379... besides I like to go to the parts dept. and actually walk out with what I need... at Freightliner all you here is "I have to order it"... they didn't keep filters in stock for my 11.1 Detroit so I bought them at Peterbilt or IHC... I'll never own another FL product... never.

I have a fairly heavy trailer for a Utility but I pulled a company reefer (no unit) for a week last month and my empty weight was just under 30K... my tractor weighs in at 17,400 light on fuel (door weight is listed at 18,040 but I have removed the roof mounted air deflector, the two mufflers and a few other doo-dads). My '96 FLD was over 18K.
