Yes, I got it and still get it and you got a service failure! Just another reason not to haul into such places and not to work for bottom feeders like Swift.

I couldn't imagine being that depserate for a job but IF I ever graced their door they had better feed me first 'cause I'd be the hungriest SOB that ever showed up looking for work!

Yet here you are posting on this "bottom feeder" swift board. Just seeing how the other half lives I take it?

I have seen where carriers are fined for being late, Ford Plants, Chrysler Plants, some food plants when the load is a JIT load.

I have seen some customers that will even fine a carrier if a trlr is dropped and the tandems are not slid per instructions. It does happen. Best Buy is a good one. You have a 24 hour drop window. Show up before that 24 hour, and the carrier can be fined, and at times, Best Buy will.

As far as truck shutting off in 5-7 minutes, my last company truck did not. I was told that if hot, idle.

Not getting into the heat of the battle here, but Swift drivers do have the capability to over ride the idle shutdown. If they choose to be uncomfortable it is their fault.

This load was EARLY and it was a drop and hook! How the fug can you penalize a carrier or a driver for something as simple as that????? No one forced the receiver to unload the trailer early so what the fugs the issue?

Some, not all but some, of the Target DCs try to balance the incoming loaded trailers with the trailers scheduled to be empty that day so that the incoming driver can get his empty and go to his next load. They are simply trying to keep to a schedule that fits their internal needs. They may have plenty of parking for the trailers on the lot, but not nearly enough room in the warehouse for the product to be kept until it is scheduled for shipment to final store. I do know that many times the Target DC in Tyler Texas unloads from our trailers directly into 3 or 4 trailers going to stores. They are simply trying to manage their time at our expense. Do I agree with their policy, no. But I do want to have an empty waiting for me when I get there as per their instructions.

Even when I was with SNI, did alot of Target, instructions said, here is your delivery window, drop and hook, go in early, fined. There is one customer that Swift has that I know of, and the instructions say allowed 1 hour early, 1 hour and 15 minutes, they will raise heck, and issue a fine. It happens. Where the OP got messed up, it was not on the QC, but by way of phone. Whenever it comes to an issue as far as del or pu and changes, always in writing. I do know that all calls are monitored and recorded.

So what! If there's no MT wagon then the driver may have to wait for his del time OR dispatch can find something else for him to do!

I don't get you people supporting a carrier with inane policies like this. The driver's job is to move freight and maximize his use of his HOS. Sitting and waiting for a BS appointment for a simple drop and hook is absolute and utter nonsense>focus
