Hi, m intersted to start with maverick flatbed OTR divison. i have few questions.
1. what is average lenth of hauling on OTR, like TMC average about 500-600miles per load.
2.how many miles per week i can expect as a newbie?
3. Do their trucks have DOT approved GPS? or regular GPS?
4. DO they have electronic logbook?

My average length of haul has been 600-700 miles lately. Average miles a week are totally dependent on your motivation. We have guys who average 2500+ and we have guys who average 2000. You must utilize your hours as efficiently as possible and communicate your eta's for the best results. Fail in either of those and you'll have a bad week. Maverick doesnt supply GPS but they do have Qualcomm satellite systems with electronic logs. All company trucks will soon be Freightliner Cascadia midroof sleepers, very nicely optioned with APU's and auto transmission. Depending on where you live you can expect to be home most weekends for at least(but usually longer) 34hrs to get a logbook restart. If on thr flatbed side you will learn the "Maverick Way" of flatbedding and securement. Reefers I believe are away from home longer as well as the Specialized division. The reefer trailers are all new. Any other questions just ask.

I cannot add any more, dan covered it all. Like he said if you have any more questions feel free to post

How long is the training for the "Maverick Way" flatbedding and securement?
How long is the driving training for a newb right out of cdl school (if Maverick hires)?
Will they keep any manual transmissions for those who don't want automatics?
Thanks! -
Securement training is 1 or 2weeks. I cant remember for sure. It used to be 2weeks but may have been shortened to a week. As for student training out of school Im not certain. I know that if you do extremely well they sometimes cut you out early. No manuals in the fleet except the few orange trucks still running on the local sand account and those will be gone soon Im sure due to high miles. The autos really arent that bad, especially on the latest new trucks which have virtually no roll back according to what I understand.

Can someone tell me if the trucks have 2 beds or one? thanks heard singles only!
-
Trainer trucks two. Solo's one.
-
One bunk only except trainer trucks.
-
What happens if you want to take family with you? Can you make one? Had an ex brother in law that built a top bunk for his son to go with him?
Oh thanks for the information! -
I think you would have to get permission to do that.....just my guess.
