You think wally world is bad? Try picking up at a Tyson plant, nearly each one....especially one in NC....at that one, we once sat for THREE DAYS, waiting for our load, and WERE NOT allowed to leave the plant, in the meantime for food, or anything else!! Every morning, Curtis would go ask when our load would be ready....was told "oh, your load is next! should be a couple of hours." Not only did they have to wait for the live chickens to be brought to the plant, but all of the other necessary steps that get live chicks from truck, and then onto a reefer for shipment. CRAZY!!! We no longer accept the Tyson loads that pick up in NC.

Not all are terrible. Brooksville Fl, and Gordonsville Va., really stick out to me. Brookville was the one the Fl trooper escorted me out of. He had a couple choice things to say about them at that one himself, and Gordonville is where the drone was screaming at me because my truck wouldn't start. Brooksville is the one where my papers were literally thrown back in my face. It might have helped if they had spoken understandable English there as well. The kid was speaking English, he just mumbled as fast as he could. Another driver that had been there before helped me out, if it hadn't been for him, I don't know how it may have ended.
Now I have been to a couple that they were very decent, and I let them know I appreciated it. I never went looking for trouble anywhere, but it always seemed if I was going to get any grief, it was at mallwart.:yes2557:

Since we're talking Wally World DC's, I have a 0445 delivery in Monroe, GA on Tuesday. Good, bad, or indifferent?

one thing I was told and I always followed. NOBODY tells me I can't leave. put the truck in gear and go! one place I was at tried that and after 4 hrs I drove right out found a ts got a shower some food and called back to see if they wanted me or should I call dispatch, they said my load was ready I pulled in loaded and left. but the DC's I went to for wally were never as bad as you guy's are seeing.

Kid, Monroe Ga is just OK, sometimes you can get in and out in 2 hours, sometimes it takes 5. Refrigerated seems to be the better side than dry. There is a shift change begining at 315AM, I suspect with your 445AM, you will be there over the 2.

You can arrive 1 hour before appointment time, there is a very small truck stop on the corner, always full. Be patient, somebody is always having to leave about every 15 to 30 minutes to go to Wal Mart.

    Good Luck

Thanks, Candlewood. I found the DC and the truck stop on Google Earth. But, the way things are looking, I'll be stopping before then, perhaps Byron. Thanks again.

Agreed, I go there all the time when I go home, and the only time I've ever had a problem there was when they had a transformer blow and it took them till about 7 hours after my appointment to get done, but I got paid detention.
