Hammy, did you make some major change that you'd like to share with the class?

LOL no major change other than reminding myself what the original point of this first year in trucking was all about. I started out in a driving school in may last year and was coded with Swift on July 22. The first year was to be a learning experience and then make an informed desicion about Swift or trucking in general after that. Being the competitive type it wasn't long before I was trying to rack up miles and be super trucker in a few months. That can lead to a lot of frustration. So I got it dialed back a few notches and am more comfortable not trying to set any records...lol Plus Hamshoe is in love with his new woman and it is better to have that as a priority in my life than this job...lol

exactly! don't try to be supertrucker! this is a longterm high risk(as in washing out) occupation, get the job, learn the job, keep the job.the miles and money will come, bide your time............Hammy sure likes to refer to himself in the third person, doesn't he?:biggrin_2559:

Taking a 34 at the T/A on 71 south of Columbus ... only have 8 hours left until Tuesday. Then I get whole whopping 5 hours.

Tomah,WI, ran 1200 miles last 2 days, dropped at Walmart DC earlier. Picking up at Ocean Spray in the morning at running hard to Columbus, have exactly 24 hours from p/u apt to del to cover 580 miles, so gonna have to run my ### off. Going to be one of those runs I park at the consignee the night before cause there is no time for a 10.
