    My Pioneer

I have had this in the truck for 2 1/2 years no issues. No clue on the cd/dvd skipping though. I use the Ipod which you can control through the unit on the touch screen ( hard to see well in daylight :biggrin_25510: ) or via the remote. Ipod = no skipping!! :biggrin_25525:

    P.S. I know I'm not SHC....sorry!! :biggrin_25522:
P.S.S. I also have cables connecting the unit to my TV. All sound goes through the stereo. Also an Amp and two subs 8" or 10" I can't remember. I've never used it to actually watch a dvd while driving or sitting. The TV in the bunk handles that.

    SHC Thanks this.

All I got is a 12" Fusion and a 400 watt amp, and a 32" Sony LED TV in the bunk. On my Star, the stereo is right over the drivers head, so the touch screen wont fit :biggrin_25513:

I have a couple more questions,

Does that 1500w inverter power both the fridge and microwave ?

If it does, Can you run both at the same time ?

What is the watts on microwave (ie, 1000watts) ?

    Thanks for sharing the information,
    RT

all running off a 1500x invertor...
this is what we have pluged in all the time, fridge, 8.9" netbook (running log book), 12" laptop (running gps), cell charger, 23" flat screen tv, blue ray dvd player, psp charger, mag light charger, hp all in one,

not pluged in we also have a (small) forman grill, slow cooker, mirco (900w) 17" laptop and coffee maker

years ago we learned that we had to unplug the fridge when we used the mirco, forman grill, or coffee maker

no we are not on milage.

the pioneer we had in our last volvo was installed by volvo on the production line, it was a new truck..

you are right it is all about if someone is happy, you are and thats great, we are very happy with our truck and with what we are doing. so if we pass each other i will wave and flash you over (i always do)

Yeah, I have never had luck with factory stereo's. My pete had a factory Pioneer and it sucked. i put in an aftermarket one and it was like night and day!

Like I said somewhereelse on either this thread or another, there is a car harness that is the exact harness that you need for a Volvo truck. I believe it to be for a Volkswagon car stereo, but I'm not 100% for sure.
