It has cummins 450 hp. isx, 13 spd, 3.55 rears. Depending on conditions gets about 5.9 to 6.6 mpg, always carrying close to 80000.

Big John I've been gone a week so I'm a little late to the party. I use Slip Plate or EZ Slip in the door pan grooves and on the pan anywhere it looks like it might be rubbing. It helps on some doors. I have one hopper that the door pan drive cog is wore on and it's getting progressively harder to open. Replaced those hard rubber guides that hold the pan down and that helped awhile but gonna have to replace those cogs.

Big John and dairyman Thank this.

Agreed - I think it was the Tyson in Forest, MS that I nearly spent the night at headed to Flagstaff, AZ. I set it up for an evening (earliest I could get there after D/H and a washout), I get there behind 1 truck at about 7pm (who got called in about 8pm, check in and wait. And wait. And wait. About 12:30 I checked in with the guardshack again, and told them I was crashing out for the night so I could roll legal when they loaded me in the morning.

About the time I got the curtain pulled and climbed up into the bunk, some Tyson driver was tapping on my door trying to tell me to call the guard shack (of course I turned off the radio!). I call in and they say the batch is nearly up and they're waiting for the call from the load bay. At that point (been up since early AM the day before) I nearly flipped a U and left, but said fine - how long? and got back up. Waited until 2am to get called into the plant, took until after 3 to finish loading, and left the plant at 3:20am. I was worn completely through after being up almost 24 hours, and just hoped I could find a place without anything happening that would cost me my livelihood. Found a dirt lot across from a Walmart with a bunch of trucks backed into it, and followed suit. It never felt so good to sleep.

That load didn't pay too bad, someone had dropped it because of weather and they had to pay a scramble rate (still wasn't worth much, but higher than most at the time). I shoved my way through the weather and got "rate stranded" in Arizona. After running a loser load across Co, I actually refused the next one to head home instead. I'd been out 3 weeks at that point, and they wanted to send me to upstate IN instead of anywhere near home. I dead headed home from Co - yeowch - gosh I miss Eclipse....... and Tyson. And got nothing for the wait time and hassle.

And the smell of rendering plants will never be missed - even for those of us with recirculating (inside air only) vents in the cab. :-D
