Went all over. I'm back from Wisconsin (almost) having a burrito in Dalhart, TX. Driving from here to Phoenix when we get done eating. I get a day off when we get there!

Ok. Back in Phoenix for a day. They were cool with letting me head home for laundry and a night in my own bed before running to Arkansas tomorrow morning!

Been good so far! Got almost 3,000 miles in my first week(8day week)... not bad for a newbie.

My trainer is going on vacation, so I'm getting a new one to finish my last two weeks.

Things have certainly been good. Good communication. We've bumped into problems... like a drop and hook where the pickup trailer was jacked WAY too high, the T-light was smashed off the reefer and the mudflap was missing along with tons of other damage and a crappy tire. You Qualcomm it in, and things get handled so you don't have to sit around.

I've been sidetracked twice and even with the minor speed bumps, I've been having a good time out there.

Knight is good about calling back if you don't catch someone on the phone and they have been great so far about getting things under control when they need to.

My only gripe is the few shippers and consignees that weren't ready on time. I sat at one place where I was dropping and hooking for 14 hours this week.

Fortunately, this gave us plenty of time for sleep and to go over some Qualcomm basics. Got a chance to go over pre-trip, though I know it inside and out.

I also brought my laptop and some movies. Got to have some fun on the CB with some other truckers... there was a collision on our route... never heard such courtesy over the radio before!

Getting a new trainer... mine is going on vacation. Getting a bonus day off out of the deal, I guess. I'm looking forward to hitting the road again!

They even fed me some lunch after my road test.

Looking forward to soloing out, too. I prefer sleeping in a truck that's not rolling

Looking good! How many weeks you have left? I'm definitely interested to see how your solo miles are, especially after hearing about all the miles available at Knight Reefer.

Yeah... the dry side is hauling reefer, too. Things are good. There is a lot of work if you want it.

I'm on my 8th day. I have to train 4-6 weeks before I solo. Sooner if I do well enough.

Qualcomm is easy... I just have to remember when to do certain things.

Make sure you come back here in 3 months after the "HONEYMOON" is over!

Trust me, that is about how long it will take and Knight's s--t starts to wear pretty thin.

I read that too fast and I thought you said Knight's t-shirt starts to wear thin!

Yeah, I'm sure with any job it will be like that.

    You'll see.
Hometime, broken equipment that never gets fixed or takes too #### long, freight opportunities dry up, sitting all weekend with no load and no pay, detention time that never gets paid, reviewing your check every week, calling payroll every week to correct their mistakes, chasing empty trailers, sitting at some craapy grocery warehouse all stinkin day, idle time issues, broken promises, and out right blatant lies from everyone in the company!!!

    Side Box Thanks this.
