There are threads that will outline some schools which maybe better than others. All will have some kind of flaw that will piss you off and starting from the bottom there's a certain level of flack that you will have to tolerate. I won't give a specific influence when it comes to the better companies I'll leave you to do a lil research however the above ones get the most negative comments on this forum. Also you need to decide what you want to haul i.e. tanker, flatbed, van, reefer, dump truck, hopper, oil/gas etc. regional or OTR, what part of the country are you in (demographics matter). Once you know this the decision will be easier, best of luck going forward!!!

Hey welcome home and welcome to the forum. I have started training with Central Refrigerated Services. I love the class it is only 2 weeks long and you don't have to have any money up front to train. Not sure where you are but I'm on the west coast but they do have school in Utah and on the east coast. Also they give a discount for the training to Vets. The class is very fast paced but good and might be a good thing for you since you have some experince in the past. They don't push teams or leases on you they just want drivers. Might be worth checking them out in your research too.

I have started a thread on my experince in the school that might help you get a better idea you can find it here: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...-me-through-cenral-refrigerated-training.html

And here is another thread from guys that actually work for them and they can tell you more about the company too. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...re/40859-central-refrigerated-truck-stop.html

Hope all goes well for you.
