No, I don't smoke. That means I'll get a trainer that does. I have another phone call from driver solution this morning. But on the bright side Blue Knight Energy L.P. called me back yeserday and is forwarding my resume to management. I hope not in the round filing cabinet.

Need to find someone who will tell them you have been driving, even if part time for them for a while. They want drivers now. And if they can cover their butts and you don't have any wrecks you'll be fine.jvar4001 Thanks this.
-
what you need to do is call one of the major companies that have a driver refresher course. that will get you rolling
-
I spoke with PAM and they said no, I need to take the entire course with drivers solution. But I'll keep asking around.

i have thought about the Dallas/Fort Worth area, love the idea about Texas. Been there a few times and the people seem very friendly. Need to explore it more.
-
Could anyone post here,(or PM me) a list of companies in Oklahoma or Ft. Worth which are hiring,I want to get the process started ASAP..(I am TIRED of $100 OTR days)
-
Check out craigslist and monster jobs for Texas...I mean certain areas like FT Worth. I can say right now Ft Worth probably isn't doing all that well. We hired a ton of Ft Worth drivers to work here in Midland.
As for 100.00 days, you can bump that up a bit working in the oilfield, either here or in San Antonio. I was offered a job just the other day hauling poly line using a flatbed making 800.00 a week plus load bonuses. I'm looking to move to crude hauling so I stayed with diesel.
Anyhow, good luck. -
Gonna sign on with Nabors out of George West, TX. Good thread you guys have going on here.
-
they still dont have position for drivers , how in the h??? you got it. take care driver

Dang, sounds like i should sell my truck and trailer and move to texas and haul a little crude.
I use to pull a fuel tanker several years ago around st. louis mo. Made pretty good money. How much do you average on a conservative week hauling crude oil, is there companies with decent health ins. and what is cost of living like down there, Like cost of housing, utilities etc.
