Anyone have any information on Roehl’s Atlanta terminal. Their site shows a 3 day orientation and two 13 day stints with a trainer. I didn’t know if they did this out of the Atlanta location. They actively recruit out of the school I will be attending next month. Any info greatly appreciated.

The Atlanta terminal is pretty good size, mechanic bays, drop/transfer yard, office personell, not sure if they orient there though

Go to the Roehl section within "Truck DAC Reports. That is a better place for researching the different major companies rather than the Report a Bad Company. It's kind of like sitting in the driver's room of that particular company. You read the good, bad and ugly about the company. There's lots of us Roehl drivers who hang out in the Roehl section and they will be glad to help. In fact there's even one who went from driver to the dark side as a recruiter. That said, I'm pretty sure they do orientation at Atlanta, I think they also do training but I'm not sure.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I don't see any reason in having to travel to do orientation unless I have to. It would be real nice to do my orientation and training out of Atlanta. I will check out the Truck DAC reports.

I would definitely recommend Roehl for new drivers. You won't get rich, but they typically allow a lot of time on their loads so there's less pressure on a newby. They also expect you to run legal, they would rather relay a load or reschedule it than have a driver go over on hours. They also tend to be rather anal about telling drivers what to do, which is annoying for experienced drivers, but great for new drivers. Come on over to the Roehl area and get acquainted with some of us you will see at the various terminals.
