I have had rangers both the2950 and 2950DX also a 5054DX they are entry level radios Since I run FM they just don't fit my needs.
The 5054DX was a dud and i got rid of it in just a few weeks

I have had good results with a 5054DX, it is not on the same level as my ProIII, but works good for what it is.I leave it on 52.525 FM into a Par Omni-Angle as I tune the SSB portion of the band on the ProIII.

 

I don't doubt some like them and as a entry level radio they are fine but
even my FT-620 I bought in 1976 works better ....It has a new home and he likes it .....

I posted a fix for his ramblings in another thread. But if you keep quoting him then it makes it hard not to see his ramblings. it is the only time I can see them because he has joined others in my ignore list.
