Well after finishing my first six months with Schneider running 11 Western and trying to run hard, work hard, and learn as much as I could, I finally got the break I've been needing. Even running regional, I was still out between 3-5 weeks at a time and it was starting to take a toll on my family. I guess I was one of those "right place at the right time" kinda thing when I asked my DBL about anything with more hometime available. I turn in my truck tomorrow and will begin a slip seat dedicated run that will get me home EVERY day and...dare I say it...WEEKENDS OFF!! Im still in shock and dunno what to do with myself lol. The run consists of picking up local loads and driving about 180 north and then swap trailers with another driver and drive the 180 miles back to either the OC or deliver the load locally. It's night time driving, but I preferred running at night anyways since there's less traffic. Also as if the new gig wasn't good enough, just found out the truck I'll be slip seating in with the day time driver is a new cascadia mid roof. Just wanted to say thanks to all the fellow Schneider drivers on here that have given me advice and encouragement to stick with it.

Well if you want an automatic it might be my old truck lol. Beat to hell on the outside (prior drivers got backed into or something) but I kept it clean on the inside and it smells like it was never smoked in. Its a low mileage 2007 flat roof, runs like a champ and never left me stranded or inthe shop, but like I said it's a automatic....some hate them some love them. It was a love/hate relationship with me lol.

I totally agree, spend the first six months learning and sending in good Mac 18's to keep you moving, don't refuse loads and do your best to keep everyone happy and it will eventually pay off in the end

I do not think I would ever agree with that statement. It's been 9 months of lies and nonsense.

    Glad you are happy.
