Sorry to hear this happened to you, but sadly stories like this do not surprise me. I am from Chicago where the most feared gang in town is the police. At this point in time you have very few rights left in this country and I can only see it getting worse. Over the last 100 or so years the people of this country have allowed outside interests to slowly take over one step at a time and this is where we are at today.

How can any country claim to be free when they depend on outside interests to issue and borrow money to them? That's where this all started was when we gave up that right.

Its gotten so bad now that almost no one even owns anything anymore. Almost every retail store does not own its own inventory they finance it and it is owned by the bank until it is sold. It is bought by a consumer and paid for with a credit card (even is paid for in cash that just represents money our govt borrowed) so really the bank also financed that as well. They most likely drove a car that they are also making payments to the banks on and take it home to the house that the banks also own. Then to get money to pay back all they owe they go to work for a company that if "publicly" owned is mostly owned and controlled by large banks and if not most likely has business loans and has to keep the banks financing them happy.

Add to all of this that due to the drug war (and its a losing fight that can never be won) our police have now been trained like military and look at every citizen as a suspect and how can anyone say this country is free. Of course we do have it better than most, but the fact is our freedom is an illusion that is put forward by the powers that be because once upon a time we actually were free in this country and they know how stubborn us Americans can be. Unfortunately most people are too worried about what they can gain for themselves or what is on the TV tonight, or what shiny stuff they want to buy at the mall to see the big picture so this will only continue for the foreseeable future.

Oh and oddly enough who here knows the word mortgage means death pledge in Latin?

"If every Jewish and anti-nazi family in Germany had owned a Mauser rifle and twenty rounds of ammunition AND THE WILL TO USE IT, Adolf Hitler would be a little-known footnote to the history of the Weimar Republic." -- Aaron Zelman

Why do you think that there are those that only want the government to have guns.....and why were are given the right to own them by the constitution. I'll give you a hint that right is not so we can shoot someone trying to break into our home or to go hunting.

Depends on who is trying to break into your home and what you are hunting.

What it has to do with this case is a ton. Her 4th amendment rights were violated. All we are saying is that the 2nd amendment protects us from such actions somewhat. Like others pointed out, this is a police state and situations like these are becoming more and more common. So it does have something to do. What I would do is sue the crap out of them, that is usually the only thing these cops are scared of. I would be scared as well if I violated ones right and now I'm at risk of losing everything I've ever worked for.

Hell I say we band together, excersize our rights and take back our country. But that will never happen cause people are to worried about the Casey Anthony trial, or whats on T.V. We are going to wake up way to late.

I would say the subject of police forces and overall our governments attitude that we have no rights left has everything to do with the original post. After all her rights were severely violated by the police and this is NOT an unusual occurrence, happens 100's if not 1000's of times everyday all across this country, mostly because we have allowed it to. The main reason we have a 2nd amendment is not to protect our right to hunt but to give those in power a moment of pause, because the average person has the ability to fight back if needed. We lose this right, the people then also lose what little control of our government we have left.

Both of you are exaggerating this situation as a "police state take over"...when it is obviously an issue with one rogue cop on one police agency in CA....not a conspiracy of Facist takeover of the government by police and government.

Injun did ONE thing wrong in this scenario....she should have locked her doors, and clearly announced that she was in fear of the situation and the officer needed to get a marked uniform unit to assist and confirm this officers request/demands. If this officer refused to follow her request immediately, she should have dialed 911 and got dispatch involved...they would have stayed on the line and heard and recorded every sound and demand the officer was making.

Now it has to go into the BS bureaucracy of reported complaints...and one persons word against another persons word. In any case the call to 911 should have been done....but that is hind sight now isn't it.

As I said before....take your ATTEMPTED HIJACK over to POLITICS and conspire away....leave this thread as it was! Your agenda is better suited in POLITICS!

Your right it was one cop in one city. But multiply that by all the other incidents recently and you have a epidemic of sorts. You have to be blind to think there isnt a issue at hand and things are getting crazier out there. And I agree with you, she shouldve locked her doors right away until his backed up arrived or he showed credentials.
