    Hubby used to have them rainex the inside of the trailer sometimes, just to keep the stuff from sticking inside. This would work for a few loads, and then it gets rubbed off. The vibrators were a god send for this stuff, and if you can afford them, I suggest that if your hauling any kind of meat meal, invest in at least one that you can move back and forth. You won't regret the investment.

    Sometimes a vibrator would be nice for hauling grain. I'm thinking when it's raining and you're loading. When you get to the elevator you have the fun task of using a broom to sweep the remains out of the hoppers. The worst loading in the rain experience was when the water was coming out the traps. I told them we should stop loading it was raining way too hard.

    10-4 on that! I won't load in anything other than a light shower, unless the spout is REALLY FAST. (We haul out of one elevator that can load a truck in 50 seconds...you've got to be paying attention on that one!)

    I learned the hard way, once, that you never load wheat in the rain, then load midds after that load. It was like velcro sticking to the sides. Come to think of it, I think a man of darker complection helped me shovel that load off as well...

    Question on vibrators - I have one to install that will be moved between traps. I am seeing and getting different advice on where to connect for the air. Dealer says to come out of air tanks on trailer. Couple of drivers have them connected in the middle by dump valvue. The cost of the extra tubbing to run from the back to the middle is no big deal if it works better. But if it makes no difference then I will grab the air from the middle. Thoughts, comments? Thanks

    Are you saying the drivers are connecting to an existing air line at the middle?

    Yes, the one that I looked at put a tee line going to gauge with a cut-off valve. He then had an air line conector mounted and could just plug vibrator in, twist valve and it would run.

    He said it didn't matter and that shops do it the way I was planning because the make money on parts and labor. I was thinking I would get better pressure coming out of the air tank.

    I would think the air tank would have better pressure.

    That is what I was thinking. Looking to do it right vs. cheaper. Sometimes cheaper is also right.
