Hello Nolelover61:
Yes I can agree with You on all of that content. I especially like their Hall of Fame there in the Driver's lounge at the FFE terminal in Dallas.
I wonder if I can ever get back in there to work for them once I get to have a lot more experience. They are really genuine and beautifull people. I Love that place. -

3 months in with FFE myself. Haven't really had any complaints other than an abnormal(in my opinion) number of breakdowns.
My DM is a really relaxed, down to earth lady. She actually appears to give a #### about the driver and not just the load. Which is great because my trainer had a really pathetic DM.
The first month or two was really hectic, but once it evened out, I really began to enjoy my new career.
Now that being said, I dunno if I'd recommend going through the FFE academy. When I tested out, the two worst drivers I tested with were from the academy(one actually lost the gear in a turn and the tester had to put it back in gear for him. He passed.) and I've heard a lot of negative things about it.
Their trainers for the most part are good at what they do. They have some #### ones, but that's nothing attesting to the company...that's just people.
Overall, at the three month mark, I'd have to say I'm happy with my choice to get in with FFE as my starter company. I'm gonna stay here for two-five years, then try to find a local driving job so I can quit being gone all the ###### time!jojomo and fancypants Thank this. -
so, im new to the trucking industry...about to take a leap of faith...
ffe, usa truck[driver solutions], and cr england appear to be my options for cdl training and a job thereafter. any advice, and what can anyone tell me about the ffe academy in ft worth? as i am leaning that way...although cre
is really trying pretty hard it seems...to bring me to salt lake city. -
I worked for cre and am now in the ffe acadamy and I will put it in simple terms. Ffe school blows cre out of the water. Top notch school here.

Dude...FFE. that's who you want.
I was looking between the same three when I first got my cdl. Now I had my cdl in hand and a school certificate from my community college, so by all rights I didn't need to go through ANOTHER academy. CR England did not care that I had passed my community college's school in the top 25%. They still wanted me to go to their school, pay for it out of my pocket, sign a contract, and train for 3 months.
Ffe was a lot more personable with me, made me feel like they wanted a driver instead of a sucker.
As far as FFE's academy, I've heard and seen mixed reviews regarding it. One of the guys coming out of the academy that I tested out with missed a gear and the lady testing us out had to get it back in gear for him, so...but I've also met some good drivers from the academy.
I'll leave ya with this: I went with FFE, and I don't regret it a bit. -
okay, thanks for the response...im waiting on ffe. they have me pre scheduled hopefully they will complete the emp check and background pretty quick though, i`ll need to give notice to my current employer.
excited about the opportunity though man, im tired of working for nothing...
and it seems like a company i can stay with, thats what i want.
