Its more a case of who the insurance companies will cover... insurance carriers for smaller outfits require experience - and clean MVRs.

The bigger training carriers can cover students and inexperienced drivers - still its worth trying, but I would definitely have a prehire letter or three with that kind of record. Just to ensure that there is a future before that CDL evaporates...

Which one was the mistake? No seatbelt, or following too close, or hitting the other vehicle, or forgetting to go to court or was it not paying right on time? Unfortunately one mistake can bite you.

Okieron, you are exactly right. And, for atleast 2-3, maybe even more, YEARS, will he have problems finding a job. He`s making $8.00 hr, thats better than some truck driving jobs.:biggrin_2559:

I've known a couple guys that got hired with recent suspensions for not paying child support but yours involved driving incidents even though it was the failure to pay that got the suspension. Saying your MVR is spotless other than two tickets and an accident is quite a contradiction.

2 tickets and an accident is NOT spotless. My car insurance would not take me with that. you have to be careful these days and make sure you have zero tickets and no accidents. its not that hard to do and you will be way better off for it.

I would go talk to a judge and tell him what your trying too do. maybe he could clear that from your record.

You think a judge is going to cover for the OP, given that he'll be driving an 80,000-pound weapon of mass-mayhem?

    ...ah, yeah. Right.
