I dont know I would think that Nebraska would be a tough competitor. Second that on Albuquerque. Very nice. Nice job on that find on the tire.

Every once in awhile, I will start hearing someone calling my name from across the parking lot of a truckstop, and I know there is going to be one of those reuniting moments when I get to sit and talk to one of my old students from one of the four schools I instructed at.

There are times I think I should become a company trainer again. It is has been 1983 since I have done it but I bet I could still be an inspiration to drivers just getting into the game. I know none of our local schools would have me as I have gotten some of the worthless instructors fired from other schools in the past and now they all work for those schools that are still around.

But then again, sharing a bunk with a stranger....But how long do they remain strangers anyway? It is good to see there are still some good trainers out there. Take good drivers and make 'em better!

I could provide that service. It may be what I need to be doing.

I never posted in one of your threads but always read them and glad to see it's going good for you. Sounds like a great trainer.

Well made it to el cajon ca. Been sitting here about an hour. I dunno who's idea it was to build an air conditioning wholesaler warehouse without a loading dock but whoever it is you sir are a moron. Secondly, if you have no loading dock why are you getting shipments of rooftop air conditioning units in a van trailer instead of on a flatbed? There is a crete truck in front of us getting unloaded then we get to wait while they chain, drag, and unload 18 pieces of cargo. Definitely not going to make the other dropoff in LA today so gonna have to park at a truckstop tonight, first time for us, it's been 5 days so far lol.

No offense guy,but your trainer is a slacker.Your doing all the night driving while hes sleeping.Hasnt even told you about weigh stations and proper procedures for dealing with them. The most dangerous time to be driving a truck are between the hours of midnight and six a.m. and he is in the sleeper while your driving. Not very smart.I quess its my personal opinion,Im glad your happy with it.His job is to train you, kinda hard to do while hes sleeping.Good luck to you, hope you make it through your training safely. There is a lot more to driving a truck, than driving the truck, thats the easy part.Hes using you as a logbook and making money.Of course what do I know,I train and none of these things you have talked about would ever happen on my truck. And this has no bearing on how I feel the particular drivers skills stack up.Im sure your very competent.Good luck to you.Im sure I will get some negative responses on this.IMHO.

get used to delivering crap to places in a truck thats too big through doors that are too small

last week i delivered 5 skids, 1800 lbs each to some tiny little office that had no back door at all, and the only front door it had was a regular sized door like you would have in your house....not even a double door or sliding door or nothing

Well we finished unloading this morning then deadheaded to another yard to drop our trailer. Now we are bobtailing 100mi to garb a brand new trailer and bring it right back. Hopefully it seems we do a junk run or two then we are going to hopefully get another good run.

I got to do more city driving today and am getting a little better. Trainer was able to do his 34 hour reset yesterday so he is driving today and I'll get to take night shift again (which I prefer anyway, if some people out there don't agree, well you aren't in the cab with me). Did my first drop and hook by myself today. Well drop, haven't hooked yet. Also learned about the 45 degree dock. Had to back into a somewhat tight spot at the first drop, didn't have too much trouble.

Lunch soon. Will keep you posted.
