Spy ware in the truck??

Guess it's time to head to your local "Spy Store" and buy a field detector or bug finder or start to pull panels off the interior and look for funny wires with funny things stuck on the end that look nothing close to what a crimp splice does!

The dash will be harder! Lot of crapola but you can pull up next to a truck like yours not from your company and compare fuse panels!

pull the A pillar panels off The A is the door attaches to. The B is just behind your head!
Yep the door panels also while you're into the search!
But you know any pick up mikes will have to be close to where you spend most of your time so those areas is where you need to search!

Have fun! There is NO better way to learn about your truck than open and close and remove things!

 

Well, while I am not crazy about the practice, it is THEIR vehicle and they can monitor driver's actions if they choose to do so. On private property ( a truck or an office for example), it is legal to monitor employees. The only area it is usually not is where the employee "has a reasonable expectation of privacy", such as a restroom. The driver does have action he can take if he does not like this equipment and that is to terminate his employment with that particular company. When it comes to "privacy" vs. public safety I don't think there would be any contest as to who would prevail in any legal action. My company has a huge legal dept. and this was thoroughly researched prior to installation and it is legal.

 

And the mike is built into the camera, which is mounted in the middle of the windshield. It is sealed in a molded plastic casing. Any attempt to open the case with out deactivation (which requires a phone call and a password to Iteris) triggers an email "alarm"...

True, I had an iteris system and never had any problems.
