That's a first. Never seen a truck stop hand out free showers, unless it was a promo.

There like casino comp cards the more you spend the more you get..... But when your not spending your money its like a bonus:D.... and can save you a lot of money as a company man. For instance... most places for every gallon if fuel you pump you get a point or so a point is only = to $.01 but the real beauty of these things is for every 50 gallons you pump you get a free shower.... Might not sound like much but when J TA Petro and pilot charge you $10+ per shower that will add up on your wallet real quick... only thing that sucks is unless your a regular and end up getting onto there platinum status you have 5 days to use those showers or they expire. Now back to the points.. as they rack up you can but things with them... Grab bag foods electronics etc.... But as i said it takes a bit to get there.

That was my exactly my point and in reply to someone else so I'm not sure why you're getting your panties in a bunch over me saying the same thing.

Hi everybody, long time, no opinion .......
I wanted to weigh in on the card debate. I know, for most of you, this is old news, since obviously, you are computer literate. There are very many drivers, that are positively terrified of any computer at all.
Using the drivers kiosk is really easy and there is usually someone around to give you a hand.
So about the card: We keep the PFJ cards in the store, so all you have to do is ask for one. If you had a registered card already and just want to replace it, it's super easy, since your info is already in there. We just add a new card to your exciting account. It is also very simple to transfer points and showers from old to new, so you won't lose anything. If your card is getting worn, by all means get a new one. Chances are, it won't scan at the pump and you will lose out on points. Registering your card (new or old) will extend your benefits, extend the life of showers, put you in the coffee/soda club and get you coupons for dollars off of food, water and stuff. Also you can have a manager register your card for "pump start". It will kick in after you have fueled 500 gallons with your loyalty card. After you have established your credibility with the 500 gallons of fuel, you will be able to use it to open the pump and come in after, to pay.
On a side note, sometimes drivers don't have showers on their card, because they expired. Just a suggestion to help a fellow driver out. If someone needs a shower and you are getting one as well, make it a team shower. It only takes off points for one and won't cost you anything. So you guys need to talk to each other. Maybe a little give and take will stretch your points for you. Just saying........
One final thing, totally off the subject. If your cards don't work at the fuel island and you call inside demanding we turn on the pump for you, well we can't. We have to have payment of some sort first. That's the computer set-up. Getting mad, cursing and slamming the phone down on our ears, isn't going to change that. You will still have to come inside and possibly face the very person you were just rude to or go somewhere else. So make sure you are registering your card for pump start and use it every time, to get to that 500 gallon mark and use it to open the pump. Thanks for letting me have my say and I hope you all have a nice night.

    ew2108 Thanks this.
