I wonder if working for them East Coast is different from here. All the driver's I've met here are home 2-3 days every two weeks. I'm opting to stay out for up to 3 weeks straight to finish my training so I can get set up to go solo.
Well I'm off for now and I don't know when I'll get a chance to update. I will when I can!

draw a ling from Chicago to Larado and i run everything east of that. It seems like at the beginning of my three week tour they send me north and i just run wild and crazy up there for a week and a half, then they spend a week bouncing me south, and then i spend a few days running multi stops in Florida and then i'm home. I really do believe it has to do with the terminal. Jus about everyone i meet on the Lakeland Yard (The Dust Bowl) seems satisfied (note i didn't say happy) but if i stop at Atlanta or Charlotte, they seem just down right poo poo'd on.
-
Yeah, I'm sure it comes depending on the territory you're in and from. I don't know if it's that I'm at the home terminal or not.

so far i've only been to two shops and they're both slow as heck unless there's a DM on someone's butt cheeks about a truck sitting too long.. and the strange thing is that i'm never at a shop because of my truck, it's always a trailer and always something simple, a light, a registration tube, and the best yet, a glad hand seal.
-
A GLAD HAND SEAL? You went to the shop for that? Come on man that is a total waste of time. Their shops will GIVE you a supply to carry with you. Why in the world would you waste the time of taking it to the shop for that?
doughboy180 Thanks this. -
i had dropped a load of gatorade about 10mins away at Quaker Oats in Indy, and since i needed to go back to the terminal to do some transflo'in and i didn't have a load assigned yet, i was like hey, lets go back to the terminal to use the microwave to heat up some chineese food. while i was there i went to the shop for a glad hand seal for the trailer i hooked to as an empty. i normally put a good one in and then take it out and put the old one back in once i drop, but once again, i was headed to the terminal. guess i'll just stick with my normal practices. -
Ah hell, I shouldn't have been ragin' on you Mitch. Sorry.

no biggies, it's understandable. supposedly my home shop is in Gulf Port, Ms., but we hardly get sent that way so it's hard to get things taken care of, and the other shops aren't too friendly to trucks that dont belong to them. I'm in my 4k window for service so hopefully they're trying to route me that way so i can get it taken care of.
-
Yeah... I'm out of AZ and about to try to get service in Kansas City... either later today or tomorrow.
Still been a good experience so far. These Volvos are super easy to corner with. -
Yeah, nice turning radius on those puppies! What are you in, a 670 or 780?
