That's what I did - Fontana instead of Sacramento. My suggestion - get ready for a lot of info to get shoved in your brain - LOL! It will be just enough to pass the DMV tests, then you get to go out with your trainer to learn some more. Hopefully you will get a good trainer (I did) and you can still ask him/her questions even after you get off their truck (I do). Also you can ask/talk to your DM. .. having a good relationship with them is SO important. It is also a 2 way street. Plus you could alway ask questions here too :D

a bunch of us who have been there have been trying to tell the newbies this for a long time but no one listens cause they are to busy eating up every thing central tells them. i was a company driver but i seen to many go broke with the lease and it seems like the ones who could make it work central got rid of. the whole lease thing is a win win for them and the driver eventually loses. and this is pretty much the way it goes at most of the big train and lease companys.

I am new with CRS so don't know much about the company. I am currently training with them in Fontana, CA. So far I have loved the training. I have started a thread about my experience in the training if it helps you out you can find it here: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...-me-through-cenral-refrigerated-training.html

As Lady K said they will cram lots of information at you in a few weeks so you can get your CDL. They expect you to keep up but I love it because of this.

I am developing a paanoia complex! :biggrin_2556: First, it was the whole "excess idle" issue. Resolved it by getting into a Volvo with an icon, which will not work if the indicator light bulb is blown. :biggrin_25512: Now they, whomever "they" are,are charging me for the lumper fees!! WTH?!? $330!!! With the receipts in the trip pak...Is anyone else blessed with paying lumper fees? I'm beginning to think nobody at Central loves me...:biggrin_25523: :biggrin_25522: :biggrin_2552:

Raincatcher, make sure you have all the info needed (trip, po, person, tax id, address, phone number, etc) and if you don't see a reimbursement for it, fuss. I watch things like a hawk and am on the phone if something doesn't add up. You have to do this.

sounds to me like central has found them selves a new cash cow. they have me in collections for over4600 dollars and wont tell me what it is for i keep asking for a written statement of what it is i owe and they reply with a copy of my last two check stubs. and when you call the rep on the other end she can not tell me what its for either. last year they tried to get me for over 400 dollars on unpaid prepass and qc rental. hey central i was a co driver i don't owe you #### only owner ops pay for qc and prepass. the morman mafia hard at work gotta love it........:biggrin_2552: also the icon is a easy fix just pop the black grommet off the red light and the whole assembly will come out then twist the bulb holder out of the back of the plastic. then take the bulb into the truck stop and match it up i cant remember if its a peanut bulb or a mini peanut but any pilot loves ta fling hook will have it. a pack of 2 usually runs 2.99 or so then reinstall and idle away.
