If a camera was pointed at me... I would make a 60 second video and burn a DVD. Then I would get one of them little 7" portable DVD players and put the screen in front of the camera.
All they would see is me with two hands on the steering wheel with a big smile on my face. I'd look in the mirrors every 5-10 seconds. Every 15 seconds I would say "Money doesn't matter, I Love My Company". They can watch it over and over with it set on loop play, lol.![]()

I was going to say i'm sorry you feel that way, but I guess i'm really not. I'm not here to be respected. I'll share my opinions and learn from the responses that get posted. Sometimes they help me grow, other times not.
I'd say you probably aren't getting paid what you're worth, but you aren't giving up that much. You get all those things you mentioned, you just get them in an unusual fashion. -
what az$!
And you wonder why drivers dont like you.....
American Trucker -
Really? People don't like me? Huh? I wouldn't have guessed that. I tend to get along with most of the drivers that I work with, and the ones that I used to dispatch. We may not always agree, but we got along.

I'm not the safety director

They can own all the equipment they want to own. If the Brothers refuse to work under those conditions, instead of working them into workplace rules under the contract, it would be meaningless. Changes would have to be made.
If this was the only option throughout the entire industry, I would absolutely walk away. And the rest of us have no power at our companies. But a union shop has special options. Too bad those muscles are not being flexed.

thats fine, your still an az$!
You have no respect for truck drivers.....People like you are the reason why this industry is the way it is....
American TruckerRICO Thanks this. -
This is about the lamest excuse I've ever seen.
We could also be a whole lot safer and virtually stop all crime too-- if there were cameras everywhere and policemen every 10 yards. But who the blazes would want to live like that?? Sure... if you're not a criminal you'd have nothing to fear. But that is not the point. The point is.... quality of life.
And in this case, who wants to be watched all day as they work? I don't care if it is only triggered under special circumstances or not. I totally resent the hint of further Police State tactics in our lives. Especially in the workplace. Quality of work life.
I look at it like this: If the company doesn't trust me... I don't belong behind the wheel of their equipment. If they DO trust me... they sure wouldn't behave in this kind of manner!

I'm pretty sure that people like me have very little impact on the trucking industry.
I respect most all of people that post on here. I don't agree with most of you, but i still respect you. I'm sure i'm not respectful, but that kind of goes with being a ########.
