^ It's been brought up before, but last week I pulled into a TS in western Iowa on I-80,pulled behind a truck in the fuel island, when in another fuel lane I noticed a dude in his 20's getting reamed by an older driver. I don't know why,but the "reamer" came over and explained to me the kid has his truck parked in the fuel island, and decided to go inside and chow down for 1/2 hour...It was early afternoon, with many, many parking spots available...Stupid is,as stupid does...No reason for that kind of stupidity,no reason at all.

I see stuff like that all the time and wondered how some of those guys get out.
Funny story: I was at the Flying J in Peculiar, MO one time. Took a 10 hr break, got there early, parked in front row. But when I was making my big sweeping turn to line up for the pull-thru front row spot that was open, there was a Swift truck parked crossways along the rear edge of the back row. I didn't give it much thought, it was like 4 in the afternoon, plenty of parking, I figured he must have just pulled out of his parking spot ready to hit the highway and forgot to mark his log book or something, and just stopped there for a second.
I got up at 12:30 AM and turned the ignition key on to crack my window for a cigarette, and the CB turned on (key has to be in ACC or RUN for the CB to work in that KW T-660) and I heard that Swift driver having a fit because he was blocked in. I listened to the conversations, and others were telling him "well you're the dumb ### who parked across all them spaces". I was thinking, "no,... no way".
I get out and walk back there and when I saw the situation, I almost #### my pants I was laughing so hard. Looking at all the front ends of the trucks in the back row, you could clearly see where Swift was "buried" because there were 8 or 9 trucks with their noses sticking about 10 feet further into the aisle than all the others. Swift was TOTALLY blocked in and the ONLY way for him to get out of there was to wait for half the back row to leave.
And if just ONE of those guys happened to be a local who had parked his truck there for the weekend, ....

Now that's funny,I don't care who ya R
Another time,I think it was the Lincoln plaza in Chitcago,IL. It has those xtra long parking spaces, but you have to park nose-to-tail.The TMC truck in front of me was brokedown, battery trbl i think. Another driver tried to jump-start it but no-go.
Of course there were trucks along the rail behind me,but i managed to wake that driver and he took my space after i backed s-l-o-w-l-y out.Managed to make my p/u ontime that morning. -
That happens there all the time. I will NEVER take one of the rear spots. If there's not one where I can pull through to the front, I'll park along the rail next to all the "No Parking" signs. 'course the only time I ever stop there is just to take a leak or maybe run in to McGrease for some coffee & I'm outta there. Never spent more than 5-10 minutes there, not even when I'm legally parked.
