Not only that. he's a huge liability with the back problems, plus truck driving isn't exactly easy on the back either.

Okay,,since no one seems to have any empathy, I will explain my situation and than you can tell me what you would do.
First; I hurt my back on May 20 2011, pulled a muscle.. Has happened many times, this time want to get it taken care of. It happened while at Drill for Army National Guard. It is like a workmans comp case but is called LOD in the Military. Because it is being taken care of by the State, it is taking forever. Hell, had to wait a month just to get a 2nd visit with Dr.
The company I was driving for at the time would not let me get back in the truck until I got a letter of release from a Dr saying I was good to go back on the road. I understand their posistion.
I do have Integrity and do not wish to fraud anyone! I also want my back looked at and fixed by the organazation that caused the problem. I hate that they are so slow, trust me!
I went to the Dr and he wants me to do therapy, 12 visits... I have been waiting for two weeks to get authorization to do the therapy,,still waiting.
Since I received my last pay check a month ago, I have no money coming in. I say that I am able to work because I know my body. I also know that I can work, just cant lift anything heavy,,over 25lbs Other than that, the Dr has not said I can not work. I was pulling a flatbed so obviously I cant, by dr.s orders, lift a tarp... But, I can still drive.
I am not even sure if I have to get paid cash. I am not employed but who would hire me in my posistion?
Now, if you would please stop being negative and maybe try to be more helpful,,we can get me some money coming in to feed my family
Thanks and God blessleannamarie, U4EA and Nita E Thank this. -
If the dr said you can work, just no heavy lifting then you should be able to get a job without having to be paid cash and keeping it a secret. Workers comp. Should still pay for your therapy, etc.

I personally DON'T think you're dong anything wrong. I agree, Craigslist is a place you might be able to find that kind of "under the table" position (most likely dump truck, roll off, etc.)...
But than again, my moral standing is lying down... HahahaSheepDog Thanks this. -
I'm pretty sure you are all missing the point, yes he can work but he is a workmans comp liability to anyone that hires him, which is why he said he cant get a job......
Am i right Sheepdog?
American TruckerSheepDog Thanks this. -
American Trucker, it is a "workmans comp" type claim but that is all. It is thru the military so, I am not sure how that works.. I will check into it tomorrow, just realized that I probably can get a job but, have to find the company that will hire me. Because this is a military issue, I am not sure how it works. I am sure companies will be in the same boat and choose not to hire me due to that being the case. I have all my medical documants for this particular incident..will just have to see what I can do.
Thanks all for understanding MY posistion..U4EA Thanks this. -
Sheepdog, i hope that everything works out well for you.

some farmers might pay under the table

Thank you for clarifying your situation. You are caught in a tough position. What about taking a non-driving job temporarily until you get cleared to work?
SheepDog Thanks this. -
And if the Dr says you cannot work due to an injury that occurred with the Military, I would be a full time pain in the butt to whoever you can complain to about either short term disability or assistance. There must be some kind of procedure to handle this while the slow wheels turn.
SheepDog Thanks this.
