Got done with orientation today finally!! Waiting to get dispatched in the am.. Was told the choice class is going to be in Charlotte on Wed so they are going to work me that way to do the class then will be on my own after that.. So far have been impressed with the people that I've came into contact with how they handle things and their knowledge we'll see how it goes from here.

Man the rates sucks in my area!
-
No they don't... you will just have to go to NY and NJ a lot. I told ya that tho LOL
You will have to chase the freight all across the nation and just take a big hit when you want to try to get home. I tried to tell ya it wasn't great, but just stick to the light weight loads and that will help a lot. -
Yeah, you told me.. But i didnt expect to see loads for 1.18 to 1.20, i was thinking more 1.50 to 1.60 in this area. Thats what i was getting off load boards. I think sni is putting the high paying loads on Co trucks. The loads on sni boards are heavy and cheap.Travelinman Thanks this.

ouch! That's worse than what I'm paid on a sliding scale. And I don't pay for base plates. Good luck!

I spent last night reading this thread. Very interested in the choice program after reading.
Could someone tell me what the weekly deductions are? Can you advances on the loads you are pulling? If so, is there a charge for that? Do they charge for direct deposit? Basically could someone tell me if they charge for all the things we do or need.
I hope you will continue to post your VERY helpful and I thank you for doing that! -
Weekly deductions : truck payment if you finance them, then they have physical damage insurance based on truck value, occupational health( workers comp) and bobtail. Now they have where they will pay for base plates and permits and take that out also. Plus they have a set maintance account if u get a truck thru them. And an escrow account at 50 a week till 1000. They have some buy down deductible insurance plans too that are voluntary.
They do have cash advances but are limited to no more than 325 a week. They pay for fuel up front on com data card and then take it out of ur settlement. they do charge a little amount for advances though drawing a blank on amount sorry hope this helps -
Well, i finished the orientation last thursday. I decided not to book any loads this week. I have a 4 day drill this week end. I will be ready to run next monday on the 11th. I been checking out the load board, the best rates are in the midwest. I figure i have to stay out a while to make some descent money. Is anyone else running the choice program?
