Dark-Knights...Congrats on getting your truck!!!! Was worried for a minute as I haven't heard anything from or about you!!!

Sully is right....try and go without the inverter for now and go with the cooker. I promise you will regret installing one in that truck cause you probably won't be in it long....CB....cheap enough purchase and will be useful in the long run. Stop by and see me at the office some time and I can give you some suggestions that will be good and won't break the bank.

Ditto, I would go without the inverter for now and get the little oven and CB. Cobra 29 LTD is a good robust radio for under $100. That's what I have now and also used back in the 90's. No regrets, just get it peaked and tuned and you should be set.

The oven is handy and you can usually get them for $30 or less. You can do soups, canned goods (spaghetti, ravioli, etc..) pasta's and I've cooked hot pockets in it too. For what you spend in the t/s's for eats, you will save plus more in a week's time.

If you see me - let me know. I have a 100 watt (cig) inverter you welcome to use for now. It ran my laptop and phone with no issues. Wont do any good for a microwave but it's a start.

    Let me know!

Man - busy busy week after coming off vacation. I've never slept so much like I did for that week off LOL!

Have been running the "grab and drop" loads all week. Havent completed one load all the way yet due to always getting a message to drop and grab this other load as it appears some are behind. It's ok - what ever my dispatcher needs me to do - I do!

Did get a load out of Houston, MS that (you guessed it) drops in Streator tomorrow. Think I'll get a restart when I get to Streator so if you're around - HOLLA!

Be safe and Have a Happy 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, wops. could have sworn that I was posting to my original thread - but apparently I was really tired, and/or distracted with the boys running around the room. Promise, I wasn't trying to hijack this tread. Thanks David, my dad has given me a 100w to use for now - I can charge my phone and headset now, YEA! Also they gave me a portable dvd player that has a backup battery and cig charger, so movies are a good thing. As for the bread and pbj's - I have a wheat intolerance that makes it a bit difficult to find wheat/gluten free bread on the road-- and man was I craving the pancakes and french toast at the petro this morning. Any suggestions (aside from baking my own when I'm home)?

Appreciate the support I continue to get here from everyone. It's really helping.

    Safe trails everyone.

So are you able to have a fridge in the truck working for Millis? Maybe I should ask if you can have an inverter??

    Thanks

That is a plus. I was reading where someone said Cooler, but it could mean that he meant Fridge.

It seems like a few simple things in the truck can make life a lot easier for the off time.
