? For Any new Schneider Drivers

    Ok, so, I got a "verbal offer" from Schneider not too long ago right. Sounds like a good company to grow with which is what I am looking for. Well my question to any New Schneider Drivers, or anyone who has applied for this company is; When taking the required DOT drug test, did anyone have to undergo both urine, and hair test? Please, Don't take this thread wrong, I stay clean away from anyone drugs, always have and always will. (any driver that do drugs and drive, should be locked away before they taking away). The problem is, "I'm bald" :cwm10: I told her that, and she asked, "is there anywhere eles on my body that has an inch of hair". Wow!!! Do she really wanna know this answer? So I just said "yes, I'll check :biggrin_25514:" So I just wanted to know if this is Schneider's way of hiring? Or, is this just a California thing since the poppy seed represents our state. And prop 420 passed.

    Hair test isnt required for DOT as far as I know, its a Schneider thing. Only the urine test is mandatory, you got that in school most likely to obtain a CDL, company testing is company policy. Have fun out there. :)

    Yeah, I passed my test in school, givin it up too> (Skyway TS, Hesperia, Ca.)< However I still have to take the test at their required Clinic. But thanks for the heads up. It's just scary that you can find out alot about a person from their DNA via hair, like what l last ate...

    Yes, Schneider does require hair along with urine, no big thing so don't worry. The reason for the hair is it gives them more of a history of any drug use.

    I am at schneider orientation now. I live in Ohio. I had to take hair and urine...so far so good.!! im glad that i chose them as a company.

    they told me urine and about an inch of hair.also do you need to be clean shaved to drive a tanker for SNI.i know no beard but does the 'stache have to go or cut short?

    Clean shaven, the reason is so the mask has a good seal

    the only thing to watch for with schnieder at least here in ontario is when u say u want hometime this and this often make sure you get it, this may be an isolated case but i heard about a young man getting into trucking with snchieder wanted 2 days every 2 weeks, 3 months later he was finally within 200 miles of the yard, hit a truckstop called in said i quit truck is here come get it... 3 months without seeing his family and no plans of getting him home in the future, ur a # not a name there. i dont mean any disrespect to schnieder they are great, just be carefull, im sure this was a rare incidant.

    Plus if you are over 225 you are fat and might have to take sleep test at the cost of $2 to $3000 out of your pocket.
