As An American who briefly lived in Canada, the Flying J Buffet in London was my best friend for breakfast foods that they otherwise didn't serve in Canada. It will sorely be missed as I decide to go into the trucking industry.

It's quite disturbing to think on the way to your stomach that SuperBird sandwich said "Nope, just passing through!"

Also does that mean the calories don't count?

Yep Lennys stinks! Prices too high. Service SUCKS, I rarely leave a tip the service is often that bad. Nine dollar hamburgers, not, where I can get better at a Carls Jr or Jack in the Box. Dinners are like Swansons Hungry Man frozen TV dinners. If I do have to eat there, its the breakfast. I dont care what time it is. Their breakfast is the only thing worth the price.

Love Dennys ....but I go for their breakfast. Cuz that is what they specialize in. Kinda like if you want to go to a Mexican food place, and you get a burger, you may be disappointed.

I once had a roll of penny's cut in half, to give me 100 1/2 penny's to last me the amount of times I'd ever eat at a Denny's in my life. I don't ever tip either but now the Denny's here make the server who waited on you ring you out, and they are very bold about "How much of a tip would you like to put on the card" and if you say nothing, they look at the table and indicate that you forgot to leave it on the table.

They can be as bold as they like...If I decide to not leave a tip, It's for a reason and no amount of badgering or intimidation can change my mind.

That having been said....I won't patronize a truckstop that has a Dennys or a Subway.

Denny's has developed a new business model for the stores in the FJ's.
To keep labor low, they hire ditz waitresses with little to no experience. The managers are barely better than the wait staff.
    This leads to poor service.
To keep food costs down, they limit portion sizes. Now this is understandable, my having owned interests in 4 restaurants over the years. However, you limit the meat portions, increase the bread and potato portions, as this adds bulk and is very cheap.
So drivers are seeing poor service, small portions and higher prices (thank the feds for that one!)
Now Dennys wonders why the stores in the FJs are not making it. Six have already pulled out of FJs, and 12 more have canceled plans to go into FJs. (leaving no restaurant at all!)
Don't look for things to get better. Like so many businesses caught up in this economy, Denny's has hired management with no experience in the business, but lot's of degrees after their name.
    Not unlike some trucking companies!

Weird. I went to the same Denny's twice yesterday. First time my server was awesome. A few hours later and a different server and the experience was horrible. Both times the restaurant was not very busy. Why are they so afraid to remove dirty dishes from your table when you're done? (like when you're done with an app and before the main course comes out) Same with empty glasses. I must have had like 3 empty glasses on my table just sitting there next to the dirty plate, waiting to be removed.
