My boyfriend & I are talking about going OTR. He is a long time trucker, but not doing it right now. I want to go w/ him, but want to work too (Not drive). I was thinking of taking a class in Medical Coding/Billing and working from 'home' (the truck). Do any wive's do this? Any suggestions?

GO VERIZON! AT&T SUCKS!
American Truckergt4jk Thanks this. -
Hello and welcome!
The suggestion I have is that you try working on the computer in the truck first. Even just email or this forum, anything that gets you looking at the screen for a length of time while on the move.
The reason I say this is that I found it made me feel unwell after a time. Staring at a small screen while the truck is on the move seems to create motion sickness. Some folk can do it and some can't. I know Judi Kay writes all the time while in the truck, but I find that I can't.
Please try it out first before you commit to an online career.
And let us know what you decide! -

Welcome to the party!
Depending on where you live, US Cellular has the air card too, and is just as good as Verizon, same price too. -
reading (a book) in a moving vehicle makes me feel nauseated as well.
