OK,
Lets set the record straight. I am not a recruiter, or trainer, or the PR guy. Just a guy who hired on to CRE for a J O B!! yes I came to CRE with 15+ years exp. (OTR, Local, and regional exp) so knock off the insulting messages about me being one of the above.I'm Just a freaking Co. driver... Before doing so I checked out what others had to say about them. All the crying seems to come from the Lease/Owner program. I am not a Lease/Owner.
I have talked to a couple of the L/O's who have been quite successful at it and now I have to wonder why they seem to get it, and why all the complainers here on this fourm either don't or didn't get it?The things that make you go Hmmm...
This is the first time I've ever worked in a dedicated fleet. Wish I'd of done this sooner. I'm home every week, I get plenty of miles and the rate of pay ain't bad either. Whats not to like? I'm in a new truck that I don't have to pay for, the maint. bill is theirs along with the fuel bill, taxes, Ins., permit fees, etc. I'm just the loose nut behind the wheel. All I have to do is pick up and deliver my loads on time, keep my logs straight and don't damage any equipment. (i.e. No accidents) and watch a 15-20 min. safety video once a month.Rough J O B Huh?
Hey, I don't even have to fuel the truck. Just pull into any CRE yard fuel island and a mechanic comes out, takes down your truck #, milage, trip# and fuel card #. tops off the truck and refer tanks-checks oil, coolant,Pwr steering, w/w fluids. some of them even do a random tire pressure check. I never have to leave the seat. Talk about being spoiled rotten. I'll have more later... Just remember, sucess is 90% attitude-10% effort.
