My name is Keesha and I decided to join the truckers report on my husbands behalf. I'm sure he'll be making an account himself here soon as he is in school now training. We have several questions about different companies and in your opinions which ones are the better choice. Thought this would be the best place for alot of our questions! :biggrin_25520:

Just want to say how grateful I am to have a forum to get answers to the common and not so common questions of the business!
    Thanks to all who contribute.

I understand there arwe two options to being in business for youeself within the OTR trucking industry. Own authority, and lease operator.
    Which is the better option?

With fuel cost being through the roof does anyone know what percentage to use as a rule for fuel costs?

    Maintenance…
As a lease operator is it better to use the maintenance program offered by the leased to company or set up your own escrow account for maintenance?

    Fuel networks…
I see companies saying if you use their fuel network you will save x amount in fuel.
Do they pass all of the savings to the lease operator or are they in the fuel selling business as well?
