using refer to stay cool in the cab?

Well the reefers I pull (utility 3000R and the newer 4000R?) have a little door up and to the left of the reefer unit, I was thinking of a way of attaching like some dryer vent tubing to it and running it into my fresh air fan on the back of my rig. lol

 

Buy a used refr and attach it to the cab.

the scary part about it... is that i've seen guys with old T600's that have a hole cut in the side of their sleeper up towards the top... just big enough for a window air unit... using duct tape and some 2x4's to hold in the AC window unit.... DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD!!! it's kinda scary

 

The volvo 780 has a climacab system, basicly a little air conditioner mounted on the back wall.

 

Drop trailer, park bobtail sideways at rear doors open cab vent and small rear trailer pulp door to get some cold air. Could be some weird parking issues, but it might work and you keep a close eye on your load temp

 

You could gather up some of that old IdleAire flex duct tubing! Nobody will know where that yellow stuff come from.

You wouldn't even need a fan. The positive pressure from the reefer blower would push it.

 

What's the deal with idling, long as your not in Cali you can idle and run the air. If you have a clean air truck you can Idle in Cali.with the A/C

 

Yeah! That's the ticket!!

A lot of old IdleAire tubing and duct tape. Just run the tube from the pulp door in back, tape it to the trailer, and into the window of your cab. Heck... they probably won't even notice that at the terminal!

 

The easiest way is just to move the bunk into the refer and sleep in there.
