BULL

I have worked for law enforcement agencys for almost 20 years there is NO exemption all laws must be followed IF they are using the radios illegaly they should be fined just like the RV users were a few years back. -
I will try all these suggestions. Thanks for the information. And I wish I drove a Peterbuilt. I wish I was driving any truck at this point! Actually this CB is in my Jeep Cherokee.

Your radio is working fine, nothing to do with the mic or anything like that
RF thru audio speakers is either a ground or swing issue.
Car audio units are very sensitive to RF splatter and the results is hearing
it in the speakers.Something about the removable face units just seems to make it worse.
Ive asked a few Audio Pro's on the issue and without CB knowledge they
cant advise a solution other then better grounding for the offending unit.
Comment on the known Peterbuilt issue,
Peterbuilt runs a huge mass of wiring across the front top of the windshield area.It is one big RF magnet to jacked up Cb radios, especially ones pushing big swing.
Problem seems limited to 359 and 379's especially when running aftermarket stereo units.
Anyway,I would approach it from a ground issue stand point,if you have aftermarket tunes try grounding it better
then try for a short run ground for the Cb then see where you are at.

Dave ......
It's not my problem I don't work in FCC ENFORCEMENT. But this person
dosn't Know anything about law enforcement USE of radios.
Just where I work we are licensed for about 2,000 radios on 8 repeaters
and we are just a small part of the S.O.
NO agency can use unlicensed radios or illegal ones or in a manor that is illegal under any of the licenses. They are NOT above the LAW. -
Personally on my Galaxy Im only on the Channels/Band that are legal. I might wonder/scan other bands but only listen. And yes I like the power these radio's put out not to mention my rfx75 give's it a good boost respectfully. Been complimented many times for the CLARITY.
