does anybody know anything about maverick transportation good or bad?

I would seriously check out Hunt Transportation(not j.b.) out of omaha ne they are a sister company to Crete Carriers out of Lincoln ne.I can't say enough good things about this company.

shortrookie- It's the best school to get you out and running and paid! 4 weeks of school covered a lot when we were there. It was nice to get my truck after "graduation" and get a real load and real pay. I would recommend them.

You are in for a real shock, REALITY you don't get a free ride anywhere, I'm a new release with TMC and make well above the average with some effort. Trust me you are not TMC material as it sounds like your looking for a handout. Try Swift

A school like that would cost, including living expenses about $7K to $8K easy. The big question, and maybe you don't know, is how much is your school, what interest rate is being charged, and how long until paid off in company plan.
Getting minimum wage is excellent just so long as you are not effectively getting charged $16K for school with credit card interest. If school charge is reasonable without high credit card interest rates, its seemingly a very fair deal.
Do you know school cost, interest rates, and company payback contribution/periods?

Hey ya'll I just took a job with Maverick and I will be there starting their orientation on Sunday, July 29th 2007. I had graduated from the Soth Bend CDI/TDI and decided the companies they offer don't pay enough and most have bad reputations. So I was accepted at Maverick recently. I will keep you abreast of the training and attitudes.
I am the kind of person who is meticulus for being on time, working hard when needed and doing a great job so my reputation will end up preceding me. I haven't seen any bad scoop on maverick and that is a plus. I was a contractor prior to this and worked hard at that. I am as some have said, making a mid-life career change for the money as Michigan's economy sucks. If you have worked or are working for Maverick, please feel free to post to this thread and give us newbie's a little encouragement ehy! Thanks..

Hey. please let me know how it goes a Maverick. I have been hired but I am from the Houston, Texas area so I have a long wait to start.
I am thinking about relocating to the Fort Wayne area of Indiana because Maverick says I can start next weekend if I am from Indiana.
I don't mind moving but I just want to make sure I can support my family after I do.
Thanks for your input and good luck with Mav.
Ron
