Im sure your experience is true, one question if i may the disgusting truck you were driving? Was it the managers going out at night messing them up? Or was it you and your fellow drivers? When i first started to drive in 1991 my trainer told me he wasnt my mom and keeping my truck clean was my job. Guess what eles hehad on his truck? Tools! Imagin that huh? Changed our own lights mud flaps airlines and all! For all you old schoolers you have seen thechange in our profession.. Young kids starting out dressed like trash poor attitudes have idea what earning a living driving a truck is and was all about.. Its always someone elses fault. The company did this the company did that. Truck driving is a profession! A carreer that you own yourpart of. Your safety record is yours, how you treat it is up to you. My advise is to man the heck, get out of the pull ups stop blaming companys for all of your life issues and short commings and drive the dam truck!

I did "power only" for JB hunt last winter, it sounds about right 28-35 states.. Up state New York to Texas, and everything in between.... Lots of heavy loads, but that was probably cause it wasn't their tractor .....
They did pay quick....

the fact is that they deserve ALL of the negativity that they receive.
*heavy handed management.
*trks that cant even go the speed limit on 95% of the highway's that they travel on.
* low miles.
*high turnover which is why they need to have all of those orientation classrooms and a building full of lying sack of #### recruiters.
* nazi recruiters
* they are bottom feeders as far as freight rate's,they are a negative force as far as getting higher rates and better pay for drivers,they do not set positive trends in drivers pay,in fact they have LOWERED pay.
i must of had 6 different driver managers,their turnover rate in the office is high,couldnt develope a relationship w/ a competent DM which affected everything..
the thing i hated the most are the extra rules like the daily safety message and the fact that theyll harass you if their system which isnt well calibrated says that you used your brakes harder than they want you to,as if they were in the trk and actually know what happend.Dna Mach Thanks this. -
well boys it ended before it started..............They denied me because of my present employer doesn`t have a DOT number,so they don`t consider my last 5 years of driving experience as driving,So in a short I say ###### Jb C**T.
I`ll go somewhere else kreilkemp,western who knows but i need togo trucking it`s in my blood.
