After rooting my Samsung Infuse using SuperOneClick it's performance seems to have slowed. Simply moving between apps and navigating the phones functions there seems to be considerable lagging. Any suggestions?

Look into a custom ROM. Do some digging at XDA Developers to find one that has been leaned up and maybe even a different kernel with a slight overclock.

Well the most simple thing after you root is to change roms like cowboy said! Download ROM manager from the market and explore roms! always do a backup of your current rom if something isn't so right. I'm using CM7 on Evo 4g and loving it, better battery life an faster.

Thanks guys! I will do some exploring into ROMs and find one for my Infuse. It's my understanding the Infuse is just a glorified Galaxy S.
I was also wondering if I could now get Gingerbread on this Froyo equipped Samsung?? -
Most likely can get gingerbread. I hot GB on my Thunderbolt.
