    I am a soldier over here in Afghanistan and I was wondering how many people have driven a m916 and then switched to Trucking in the civilian world. I am an army mechanic and am also part of a recovery team I drive a M916 A3 which is a basically a Freightliner day cab with a winch on the back for picking up our low boy. When i get home i plan on going to school to be a civilian diesel mechanic and doing that for a year or two before possibly trucking.

    Some of us were mechanics also.

    Today, the mechanical field may be your better choice.
