Anyone in the Boston area know of places to park trucks during home time? I live in the city so I can't park my tractor in town. I haven't started driving yet (going to start school soon) but I need to figure out if taking a truck home is possible or if I'm going to need a job with a company that has a warehouse to park at.

Went to Boston once, I refuse to go back. I recommend moving out of the city. But that may not be feasible.

Doesn't exactly answer my question, but thanks for your opinion of the city.

I'm sorry. I thought you had found parking in Boston. I was going to ask where.

Nope, not yet.

Best I can figure, park at one of those service areas, hopefully there will be parking at one when you get to it.
You may want to try to park at a truck dealer, or warehouse?
I think this is trial and error. Maybe one of your future companies customers has a spot for you.
You may have to resign yourself to parking a ways away from where you live. -
I currently park for free at a TA here in South Jersey. It's about a 15 minute commute from the house. It's secure and there are other company drivers that park there without a problem with security. I can park closer to my home but I want to be able to sleep and not worry about someone trying to steal the load.

I tell ya, Boston is HELL for truckers. There simply aren't many places for truckers to park around there. I used to go into Chelsea Market in Boston a lot and always had to park WAY out of town. It was made for Pilgrims, not truckers, LOL.

No place in Boston or in the immediate area to park for sure, and I am familiar with the town. Commuting from a place to park furter out would be a best option. Mike's truck stop is located at 495/Route 1 in Wrentham. There is a large dirt parking area across from the plaza that is mostly empty. Drive in, talk to the manager, see if he can hook you up.

I'll let you know now that the big lot across the street is a pay lot something like 10 or 20 bucks a night.I live in Easton which is south of Boston, your best bet is to look for an industrial area close to home and ask around there.
