And that scares the crap out of me.
She gets out of jail Wednesday to be "released to the community." I'm going to be in Orlando on Wednesday morning to catch a flight to Minneapolis. I hope beyond hope that the media won't be too bad there.
Say What? Casey Anthony NOT guilty ...

I'm betting that after she's been out for 2 weeks, if she stays below the radar and doesn't go on the talk show circuit, people will forget all about her and this case. Americans have the attention span of a dog with ADD.
The people who are most angry over this case are women with young children of their own. Not exactly the group most likely to be violent. There will be no snipers, but maybe some occasional person will scream at her from a distance, maybe throw something at her. She might get minor injuries from something like that, but she ain't gonna be lynched. It just ain't gonna happen.
Sure, she'll get plenty of death threats, but that's about it. I know of one person who's already described in great detail the method she would use to torture Casey to death, but that's just that. Nothing but capital letters, to be followed up by absolutely nothing, except maybe some more capital letters. The person I'm talking about on Facebook is also a young woman with kids, and no history of violence.
I predict protests and boycotts if she goes on the talk show circuit or gets book deals, but that's about it.
I'm also wondering if the talk shows and book publishers will anticipate the protests and boycotts and decide NOT to cash in on this case. -
I'm proud to live in a country which views liberty in such high regard that in a criminal trial where an individual's life and liberty are on the line, the defendant is presumed to be INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. The burden of proof rests upon the prosecutor's...the state's....shoulders, and the evidence MUST convince a jury of peers beyond all reasonable doubt...it MUST be a unanimous decision in order to convict.
The state simply failed to prove their case. First of all, nobody knows just how the child died. Was she murdered? Possibly. However, without a known cause of death, the possibility exists that the death was accidental and the only crime committed was the mishandling of a corpse to try to cover up the accidental death. Reasonable doubt.
For those of you who have a problem with our presumption of innocence until proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt, I'm sure your view would be different if somehow you found yourself sitting in the defendant's chair...whether falsely accused or not...facing serious time behind bars or possibly death. In that situation, would you prefer to be presumed innocent until proven guilty? Or would you rather be presumed guilty and have to prove you were innocent?
It is better to let the occasional guilty person go free than to wrongfully imprison an innocent person.I_HATE_MINIVANS, Injun and end of the road Thank this. -
2 years old.
Defenseless.
Dead.
Tossed out like trash.
And the person responsible, in whatever way, is free as a bird next week.
'Nuff said.
ORT WIFE Thanks this. -
Not my kids, not my mother, not my business. Let the girl suffer alone for a very long time.

That was a nice post. However, she may already be convicted of being a horrible person by the court of public opinion of those who only know part of the story. Her sentence is a life of constant reminding of what she has done, or what people think she has done. Either way I don't think she has bright outlook for the remainder of her life. -
To quote from page one TF and I agree with you 100%!!!
Who ever has the most money or gets the 'best' lawyer wins!
Having just gone thru the legal system myself for the last year plus and having all the evidence needed to 'win' my case (divorce) I got HOSED up the backside cuz his lawyer was that sleezy and convinced the judge better. They had NO evidence but cried a good story. Even the CRIMINAL judge gave him a break on the charges cuz ''it was his first offense.'' REALLY? I hope and last......but hey who am I to say?
I believe in our legal system but this is one of MANY MANY cases that show how our legal system can be corupted and perverted to fit what is needed. I get the ''beyond a doubt'' stuff but you have to wonder how much evidence was tampered with or gone or what?
Maybe that beach spend the rest of her life along with her trailer park trash parents looking over their shoulders while the ghost of that poor child follows them!! -
No evidence = weak case = acquittal Nothing new....
I never understood how the Salem Witch trials went on for so long until I saw people's reaction to this verdict...Nobody said she was innocent, including me, but you can't find someone guilty because they behave like an a-hole, lie, slut around and disrupt an investigation, you NEED facts and evidence, not speculation and gut feelings...
The DA should have went for a lesser charge, only hope now is to find an accomplice and then they can retry here for conspiracy to commit murder which wouldn't fall under double jeopardy...
AND she didn't need a good lawyer in this case, a public defender could have got her off on this, the DA had nothing...He charged her with 1st degree hoping she'd plea for 2nd or manslaughter...He gambled and lost...end of the road Thanks this. -
I haven't followed this high drama case. There's enough drama here!

Look at her headline picture on msn.com. You can see the evil in her face.
Who tries to cover up an accidently drowning? Guilty! The dumb b**** will get drunk, pregnant again and kill the next baby so she can keep her lifestyle. She won't be so lucky next time.
She ain't meeting her maker. She's going straight to hell!!
Next story, lol.
