I waited about 3 weeks as well before finally giving them a call. She said she forgot to notify me that I was refused. Not very professional.

It basically was about overtime. GTI pays $350.00 per week (I believe) to trainees. The trainee does everything under the supervision of the trainer for 28 consecutive days, so they work over 40 hours per week. At least one trainee thought he/she deserved more. The judge or hearing officer agreed. -
I just found out I was turned down as well. They give no reason and I had to contact them to find out. There was no email of phone call.
Now my current boss is already going threw the process of replacing me and I have no where to go because the recruiter told her over the phone that he would be contacting me shortly with a job offer.
I have never had an accident in any vehicle in my life. Never arrested, DUI, or fired from a job. As far as I know I have never even had a write up anywhere. The only reason he gave was "one or two little things could have caused it" but nothing else to tell me whats wrong.
So its back to square one. How can someone with past experience be lower on the food chain then a rookie without a CDL? -
Have you checked your DAC/HireRight report?

Yeah, doesn't make any sense, does it? I'm just thankful i was able to get on with a company after being out of trucking 2.5 years.

could it be credit issues?
-
Because they can pay the starry-eyed newbie a lower rate

They had no problem getting me on but in the 4 day I had to wait to get in to orientation I found a company that would give me $0.03 more with new trucks. GTI has a bad lease giving there old retired trucks to you with 650000 to 700000 miles on them. But they say its yours when the lease is done! Now what am I going to do with a pos with 1000000 miles on it and it will be 8 years old. I know its a bad time to lease . but want my own truck again.
