Your CWP from your home state is just that...from your home state...there is no guarantee that any other state will recognize the permit. Also, don't try and co-mingle the CWP ruling from one state and the Federal provision which you have noted.

It appears you have not actually read, or you don't know from first hand knowledge what the provision declares. From the way you describe the provisions, you got your information from other truckers....keep in mind, the coffee clutch truck stop lawyer defense group generally don't know the difference between jurisprudence and juice/produce.

My ccw is recognized in almost all states with a ccw law. So tell me how,if a state recognizes my ccw,Im goin to get in trouble for my ccw?? There is no logic to your statement. As for where I get my info I get it from my NRA instructor but its all available online for those willing to look it up. Google firearms owners protection act and you will see I have misstated nothing. I train with leo and military members regularly and am well read on my rights as a gun owner. Do yourself a favor and learn first speak second.

You are very quick to take the defensive...and obviously take offense when someone disagrees with your perspective of the issue or discussion point! Another tactic of the coffee clutch lawyer group at the counter.

Did you not see the link I provided in my post....here it is again in my quote above your post. Which shows that I did learn first....actually I started learning about weapons around 1959-1960...and I pay attention to owners rights and the regulations about our rights to transport weapons across state lines.

Your CWP will be questioned if you put yourself and your weapon into an issue in any state beside the state that issued your permit. Also I agree with ironpony....what good is a CWP if the weapon is locked and out of reach, along with the ammo is locked and out of reach and in a separate location from the weapon? the interesting thing about CWP's is the holder of the CWP....oft times the weapon is akin to a babies blanket to them...also the CWP holder already shows some signs of a lack of personal confidence.

Just wondering....do you keep the red floor lights on when you sleep in the truck away from home? Yes it gets scary when it gets dark to some!:biggrin_25523:

As an educated, and experienced debater, I don't find the need for name calling to assert my opinion or point! My statements were backed up by direct link to the NRA's explanation of the Law, along with my agreement of another posters statement regarding a specific fact within that law. This statement regarding condition and location of the weapon is clearly spelled out in this Law and in the Supreme Court rulings as to the validity of the individual State's sovereignty regarding disposition and stance on the Law and the level each State has the right to create or not create a right to carry concealed weapons, and their sovereign right to accept or disregard another State's similar or lack of the Law.

Your comments/statements projected you "understood" the Law, however you never referred your statements to any specific point of Law, along with no link to back your claims. You ignored my linked statement, and proceeded to assume (keep in mind what the word "assume" is broken down to reflect) that I am an agitator....why(?)....simply because I disagree with your "understanding" of the Law.

In a gun fight you use a gun, in a knife fight you use a knife....in a verbal debate/discussion you should use your words...not name calling or implied fact.:biggrin_2558:

And my CB is standard, off the shelf....no power tweaking, no boost...don't need any as I don't listen to the coffee counter trucker lawyer types that like to spread a gross misconception or hearsay advice down the highway.
