An individual I know has 11 years experience with a perfect driving record, always delivers and picks up on time. He made the mistake of going with Seward Motor Freight in the middle of H..L. They renigged on every promise made to him at the timing of hiring. He had horrible problems with his Driver Mgr. as they try to drive the truck from the office. They disrespect the driver as being brainless idiots. They accused him of stealing company equipment, embarrassed and humiliated him with police and sheriff at a Walmart 6 to 8 miles away. Even though he was cleared of all charges, they still submitted on the DAC report that he had stolen valuable company equipment. They fired him with clean driving - perfect deliveries and pickups and dumped him & his personal belongings in an open field - his only getaway was to Walmart miles away. His home was several hundred miles away. They offered to store his possessions in a warehouse and he was shocked to find that this area was jampacked with expensive TV's, microwaves, refrigerators and huge bags containing personal belongings. These drivers had met the same fate - FIRED! The Company manages by intimidation by their Operations Manager who is a bulldog. DRIVERS, BEWARE - DO NOT WORK FOR 'Seward Motor Freight', BIG MISTAKE!!!:biggrin_25510:

What? Are you waiting for someone to call "B.S." on this story? It is so far beyond "B.S.", that you most likely will not get any SERIOUS responces.

When a post starts with "An individual I know...." or "A friend of a friend...." or "A buddy of mine...." there is little point in reading the rest of it.

It is your choice as to whether you want to believe or not - the story about the individual I know is a TRUE STORY - it happened to my husband. The story is fully documented - police reports, DAC reports, etc. TRUE STORY, BELIEVE IT OR NOT!! :biggrin_25523: Guess what, once the sheriff made them remove the crap off the DAC report, he now has a wonderful job with a company that is paying him $0.40/mile and he is constantly running - deliveries and pickups' on time - everytime!! And furthermore there is respect!! Listen, he has a clean DMV record with no tickets or accidents - everyone wants him, he just ran into a company, SEWARD Motor Freight, that lies, does not honor hiring commitments and treats drivers like ---I have some choice words - I suggest that before you consider being employed with this 'so-called' company, have them show you their warehouse holding property belonging to drivers that met ill fate!!

First the story goes from "an individual I know" to "It was my husband". Now, if we disbelieve your story we are "idiots and probably work for the company". The sheriff made them take stuff off his DAC? Why were the U.S. Marshalls too busy?

Heck, if I had known the Sheriff had that much power, I would have had him fix my credit YEARS ago when I needed help!

Sounds like he did exactly what they say he did. And if he did then he is should be thankful he's not in jail. Yup the police reports say he did exactly what they say he did, they just don't have enough probable cause to arrest let alone convict. These things happen a lot. You can't make this stuff up folks!
