Could someone tell me if Maverick trucks have refrigerators. If not can you install one or do they require the shop to install it? Also, CBs and inverters. What is the age and condition of a normal "starter truck"? I read on their web site that they had ordered 500 new trucks, have they started to enter the fleet yet?
Thanks -
Maverick does not supply refrigerators or CB's. All the new trucks come with a 1000 watt inverter if you are assigned one of the 07's you can have an inverter installed by the Maverick shop. Oldest trucks in the fleet are 07's and most are in good condition. They generally replace trucks every 4 years.Last edited: Jul 8, 2011
seawheeler Thanks this. -
The chance of you getting a 07 truck is slim. Maverick ordered virtually no trucks between the 07 and 10 model years so chances are good you will end up in a 10 or newer. Maverick runs their trucks to approximately 4yrs or 500k generally, whichever comes first except during tough times when they may run a bit longer. You can buy a electric cooler and that works well. All Cascadias have inverters. There are prewired cb hook ups and antennas are provided but you can install your own, however on the Cascadias ant mount sits higher so your antenna may need to be shorter to stay under 13'6"seawheeler Thanks this.

That's great news about the trucks. All the Maverick trucks I see running down the road look good. As long as it's well maintained I really don't care about the age but a '10 would be very cool. I should start orientation in a week, won't know for sure until Monday.
I have a small inverter to run my lap top and a good cooler, so I'll be ok for awhile.
Thanks for the information. -
You will need to have Maverick install it for you. That is the only way you can run it in your truck. -
Cooler is non electric type and inverter is very small one that plugs into cigarette lighter, just for laptop.

I could be wrong...but I do not think that Mav allows the plug in type inverters due to the chance of fires. I would definitely check it out before I used it...just to be on the safe side.larry5853 and seawheeler Thank this. -
Thanks Jim, I'm sure they will cover that in the orientation. Just trying to get ahead of the curve with my questions. Thanks again.
