Pick and chose one, your going to hear good and bad about almost every company you name.As far what you have listed,I would chose SNI(Schneider),there little better than Swift.I have hear of Roehl but I don't know much about them.
P.S
Welcome to the Trucker's Forum! And thank you for your service!

I would scratch bottom feeder Swift off the list right away. I would probably choose Roehl over Schneider, but you might have different needs.

My son works for roehl so far they have been a good company for him.

Okay, Swift, you will hear a lot of negative comments about; however, I started there and have been there one year now. While, I do not plan on retiring from this company, they have trained me properly, and I very rarely stop moving. Everyone I still keep in contact from my graduating class keeps rolling as well. They get you home on time, you get plenty of miles, and with the right trainers you will become a very capable driver. Maybe not a super trucker, but I will leave that to those that constantly bash Swift. I would not be so quick to scratch them off of the list. Sure, the pay is not great, but you have to earn pro pay. Remember, this is a training company.
nckid Thanks this. -
The ones that talk good about swift are the ones that don't know better....don't even think about going to them. That's all they know because that's where they started at. From those three go with rhoel. They have better equipment, more variety and you won't get smacked talked everytime you turn your cb on. Best of luck.

The day I start caring what others are telling me on the CB, is the day, I have lost my manlyhood. I could care less what those people say. I just do what I have to do, then while they are still sitting there thinking of more witty comments to say when I get back out. I am on my way to make more money. Yes, it is the first place I started, who was your first employer? Just courious.nckid Thanks this. -
oh mine wasn't much better. Your sister company Central. Worst company I have ever drove.....sorry ever worked for.then I was local heavy haul for Gordon trucking home every nite but it didn't pay worth a crap, so now I lease a new cascadia with celadon...and to tell you the truth....never made more money in my entire life. I average 3500 miles per week. Never below 3000. And often above 4000. NEVER had a check less then $1000 dollars per week after wall is paid for and me taking enough out myself for tax time. The only thing...I repeat the only thing I like about swift is there new T660 trucks

See we all start somewhere, and SWIFT has not been a bad experience for me. I will be leaving soon however, once I get out of FL where the pro companies are recruiting. I just wanted to offer my opinion to the OP so that he does not immediately count them out. If the pay was better, I would actually stay, but there is so much more to be made, as you just pointed out. -
Well not to mention I could not imagine ever going 62mph again. Gordon was 60!!! I'm at 68 now and I think its just perfect. Enough to make money and slow.enough to be safe ya know. But I think all starter companies are pretty slow. That's one reason why I came to celadon....because you have to have either a year or 9 months exp. so that way I don't have to deal with idiots. But ya know celadon has no pay cap. which is nice. They start at like 32 or 33 cpm which isn't great but the pay turns out good because of the miles.
