Thank you recognizing my previous service as a Marine! A long 20+ yrs with many deployments....Glad I did it...but glad its done....Many months from home.....I am an optomistic person trying to find positive in all negative...I did a lot of reading for 2-3 months and all roads led me to Millis. As I continue to talk to the truckers here with Millis they all seem to be very pleased with the treatment of the Company. Great equipment and from what I here if you keep your nose to the grinding stone you can do well for your family. I looked at going thru driver solutions and working for either PAM or USA Truck but they would not take me due to me being out of their hiring area (Jacksonville NC). O well everything is for a purpose I guess! I sincerly wish you the best out there and if I can manage to stay focused and graduate this Millis School, maybe I will see you out there somewhere in the upcoming future. Take care of your self and stay safe!

PAM seems like a reasonable company for a beginner but not much more then that.
I would suddenly be shifted between different "boards" when put on automotive and it could become really dysfunctional.
Or they would complain saying I need to communicate with them better. Then I'd call them and they'd want to hang up.sevenmph Thanks this. -
That's funny about you not living in PAM's hiring area. I live in Florida and they hire from here and I ran a lot of north Carolina loads.
-
Funny you say that...because I too have seen PAM moving throught this area, furthermore USA Truck....Go figure....Web site in need of updating???? Who knows!!!

Welcome to the site Leatherneck, and welcome to the trucking Industry. This career can be very rewarding and enjoyable, but can also be a shock to the system when first starting out, but being former military and use to deployments most prior military adjust easier then most. Semper Fi! and good luck in your training.leatherneck91 Thanks this.

Hey Leatherneck, Millis is a good company. I used to work there. The only way you will have a bad experience is if you get a crappy dispatcher. If you get Jay, ask them to change. Not everyone in BRF is an #######. Also, tell your instructor Greg that Big Al said he is a wildlife molesting redneck.
-
Laughing uncontrollably to your remark about Greg...LOL...I will be sure to mention that to him and give you a reply back as to his response. Thanks for the heads up about the dispatcher...Sorry for this dumb question but what is BRF??? Have seen that acronym a few times but do not know what it stands for! So far Greg has done a tremendous job training us.

Running man thanks for your service to this country....OOO-Rah...
