Today was a good/sad day

I sent a text to my ex around 7 this morning and she was fine with me coming by to take our kids out to breakfast. When I got over there they were still asleep and were very surprised when I woke them up. We went and had some pancakes, they were yummy. Then we talked for awhile then I had to take them back home, they had a friends birthday party to get ready for. It was great to hug them one more time!

I am home now and about to finish packing. I am the king at forgetting stuff when I pack. It seems every time I leave on a photography trip I forget something, so I am trying not to make that mistake for this trip.

I hope to meet a you guys on the road one day!

Thank you for your kind words! This is something I have wanted to do since I was a kid. I planned on becoming a truck driver after the Air Force, but decided not to do it because of kids. I lost a good job a few years ago when the company was bought out and closed. I have not been able to get anything going with decent pay since then. I know driving a truck is not going to make me rich, but it is much better then the low paying job I just quit.

I am determined to do this for at least a few years. If it proves to be hard on my family then I will search for a local job. If my kids adapt well to this I hope to do it for many years.

 

I am leaving my place in 15 min and should be in Missoula by 10 something Sunday night.

 

Made it into Missoula after a 30+ hours bus ride last night. Met Axe and a few other drivers, all great guys! Got about 5 hours of sleep then went and had breakfast with an OO's then went to class. Lots of info to take in, but nothing to over whelming. It is a small class, only one person left over from last week and two of us that started this week.

I had plans to practice in the yard and start knocking out some test, but I am so exhausted, I think I am just going to relax and get a good nights sleep. I did get a chance to run into town and hit wally world for some stuff to make sandwiches and some Gatorade and Mt. Dew, should be good on food for the next few days.

Will update again tomorrow, need to get the passkey for the wifi first. It is just too darn slow mooching the 1x signal from my phone.
