Honestly I dont remember since it was a long time ago that I filled it out. I want to say it's only for CMV.
Anyone else remember?

R-D68..they are looking at a couple of things.....1: when they pull your MVR, were you truthful on your application (do they match)..2: if you have many speeding tickets, insurance will turn you down as employable..do you have any accidents that are your fault...ins will turn you down as well. Things like this would...for lack of a better term...make you a dangerous driver and a detriment to the company.
As far as CMV info....that's only if you have a CDL class A.....ie. an experienced CDL driver that is coming over from another company.
Hope this helps. -
Well, like I said, I had one incident back in 2009 where I broke my own rule here in town and let someone talk me into letting me turn left out of a side street onto the main street running through town (definitely a preventable). I eased on out but someone came flying up the turn lane and brushed my front bumper. No tickets were issued but I guess my insurance found me at fault because they paid to fix the other drivers car. It does not show up on my MVR but if insurance companies can pull your records it would show up on the insurance. It will be 3 years in April of 2012.
Do you think this would be a problem?
I drove a rollback wrecker from 2005 to 2010 and never had any accidents in it. So I am good there as far as a CMV is concerned. Never had any speeding tickets in the last 10 years. Can't remember when the last time I had one actually (knock on wood). Early 90's best I recall.Last edited: Jul 10, 2011

What if you had a ticket from over 10 years ago and you dont remember the details??? Or dates?? I know when I was 17 (over 20 years ago!!) I had a ticket for a red light and some years after that I think a traffic ticket that was something about failure to yield traffic device?? My MVR does not show any of these, but do they show up on an MVR that a Trucking company would run???

I believe the MVR only goes back 10 years so you should be good. If not I am screwed! Had a bad run of speeding tickets back in the early 90's. The state sent me a letter letting me know I was nearing my quota!
I have chilled out since I have gotten older. -
HD, you must be around the same age as me?

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPP!!!
You guys are way over-thinking this!!!! Most companies only look back 3 yrs on MVR and 5 for DUI. If you've had nothing "MAJOR" in the past 3 yrs...your cool!!
Sully72 Thanks this. -
It's been over 30 years for me since my last violation, so I guess i'm golden then!

Thanks Mr.G
Trucking is something I really want to do and know I would be very good at it. I was being overly paranoid that something small would keep it from happening.
You made me feel better. Thanks

A couple of questions about the trucks, Do they have cruise control? When I drove back years ago, it was a Kenworth Aerodyne and it had cruise. As far a driving on the interstate, it made my job alot easier. Question 2, are all the trucks governed at 62 or is that just for the rookies? I would think driving 62 on the interstate that has a 70 mph speed limit, would be more of a hazard than a safty issue. Thanks.
